Information Science Engineering
The Information Science and Engineering (ISE) department is one of the best departments in VVIET. The Department was established in 1999. The department is dynamically progressing in both academic and research activities. The main objective of the department is "achieving academic excellence, promoting research and development, consultancy and teaching in frontier areas of Information Science & Engineering" to meet the vision and mission of VVIET.
The department is enriched with a team of top quality faculty with its energetic, motivated and dedicated teaching professionals. The faculty members are Google trained cloud trainers and strive constantly for excellence with 100% academic conformance to "create, disseminate, and inculcate innovative and intellectual knowledge to make department top rated in the State". With leading subject experts in most of the areas including personnel having doctoral degree in campus and experts from industry, students are introduced to a higher level of teaching – learning process leading to 100% placements The Department has close interaction with industries and organizations of high repute. The main modes of interaction with industry are faculty consultancy and sponsored projects. To name a few, the department has interactions with top leading IT companies like Infosys, HCL, and IBM.

Facilities available
- Department has smart classrooms all equipped with Multimedia projectors.
- Department has plans to enter into an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ALTEM Technologies, Bangalore for imparting training in CATIA software to the students of VVIET and it would also benefit students of neighboring institution.
- The department industry- institute interaction cell is actively involved in placing students for internship at reputed industries & organizations in and around Mysore. This has given an opportunity for students to identify real time problems in industry and enable them to tackle the same during their final year project.
