Alumni

The alumni association is an organization of the former students of the institute. Working committee of Alumni Association consists of student representatives and faculty coordinators from each department. Annual Alumni meet is arranged every year.

The Alumni Association/Chapters contributes significantly to the development of the institution through financial and non financial means during the last five years

The alumnus forms the major strength of the institution. The alumni meet is conducted to interact with alumnis and provide a platform to share the new technology, innovative idea with the students where the alumni from different branches of the undergraduate and post graduate programs share their views and give suggestions for the betterment of their junior students. Alumni from various batches shared their experience with the budding engineers and motivated them. Students interacted with the alumni’s and took inputs on projects and placements. The alumni meet are mutually beneficial for the Institution and the alumni. This provides an opportunity for the alumni to meet their friends and act as a bridge for the faculty to share their experience, knowledge and insights.

The alumni visit the institution to deliver Guest lectures and seminars for the students in their areas of expertise and motivate the young minds. The seminar provided an insight and understanding, how learning provide engineers with greater scope of building their career. Successful entrepreneurs from the alumnus are invited to talk on their success stories at various occasions of the Institute. The alumni also help the final year students of the various streams of engineering, business administration and computer applications to get their project placements and summer internship in their companies or to assist them get it through their reference. They also assist the students for placement in public and private sectors and the regular alumni association meetings pave the way for the successful placements of the students.

Purpose

The Alumni Association’s purpose is to inspire all current and future alumni to develop a lifelong relationship with the institute and one another.

To be recognized as the premier alumni association among peer institutions, setting the standard for best practices and innovative approaches to alumni engagement.

Mission

To design, develop and execute innovative strategies for Alumni Association activities that will significantly increase the involvement of current and future alumni with the Institute.

  • To keep a roster of all Alumni of college and their pertinent data.
  • Maintaining the updated and current information of all Alumni.
  • To encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves.
  • To promote a sustained sense of belonging to the Alma Mater among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them.
  • To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Matter, its graduates, faculties and students to the Alumni.
  • To assist and support the efforts of Alumni in obtaining funds for development.
  • To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their courses of study at the Alumni to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to the society.
  • To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues of the day by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni
  • To let the alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Mater.

Alumni members’ role and responsibility:
Chairperson:
  • The president is the senior of the alumni chapter who presides at all meetings of the alumni and other meetings as required.
  • The president shall have general charge of and control over the affairs of the alumni association and perform other duties as prescribed.
  • The president oversees implementation of all policies and ensures that appropriate administrative systems are established and maintained.
  • The president is elected by the alumni association members,and serves a one-year term.

Vice President:
  • The board's Vice President shall perform and discharge the duties of the president in the case of the absence, death, or disability of the President.
  • The board's Vice President shall perform and discharge the duties of the president in the case of the absence, death, or disability of the President.

Secretary:
  • The secretary is responsible for making and preserving a record of all proceedings of the alumni meetings.
  • The secretary shall perform such other duties as prescribed by the president and the alumni meet.
  • The secretary is elected by the alumni association and and serves a one-year

Treasurer:
  • The treasurer is responsible for consulting with the Office for Alumni Relations regarding all matters relating to the funds and finances of the alumni association.
  • The treasurer is elected by the alumni association members,and serves a two-year term.

Executive Members:
  • Concerned primarily with policymaking, long-range planning, and coordination with other alumni activities
  • Consists of the following officers with additional roles as defined by president, vice president, treasurer and secretary
  • Meets at least twice a year or more if the size and location of the association so suggest
  • Plans a program of events and activities throughout the year;
  • Should actively participate in all club affairs.
