Aim and Objectives of College Library

“Library is the heart of education.”

  • To promote the records of human knowledge and to keep them updated in accordance with the growing needs and requirements of the users today and tomorrow.

Objective:
  • To helps in all educational and instructional programs of the college.
  • To develop a habit of deep and advanced studies of subjects beyond the text books of subjects, in students.
  • To enhance the understanding of different subjects or disciplines among the students.
  • To prepare students as an intelligent, informative and enlightened to play the role of a responsible citizen.
  • To assists the research work and lay down the initiative base for research work in students.
  • To develop a habit of deep and advanced study of subjects beyond the text books in students.
  • To notify the teacher with latest up-dates in their respective subject area.
  • To provide healthy entertainment material to its users.
  • To promote literacy and disseminate useful daily information to the people and encourage lifelong learning through its reading materials and resources.

Policies of the Library

  • Any student desires to enroll as a member is required to produce valid identification Card/Admission Receipt.
  • Each student member can borrow 3 books before examinations and 5 books during the examination.
  • Borrower’s card will be valid for the period of one year.
  • Fresh enrollment will have to be done for the succeeding year.
  • Borrower cards are not transferable.
  • Users/Borrowers should wear their ID cards while they are in library premises.
  • Only members are authorized to borrow books.
  • All books must be returned on or before due date.
  • Library materials should be handled with utmost care. Last user member will be held responsible for any damage or mutilation of the books.
  • Reference books/newspapers/Current issues of journals or magazines will not be issued out of the library.
  • All the students are informed to sign in the gate register without fail
  • Users are required to deposit their bags/belongings at the property counter before entering the library
  • Eatables are not allowed inside the library
  • Issued books are not permitted for reference
  • Issue and return transactions are from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • Please don’t write and damage the books and journals
  • Library books if lost are to be replaced with new edition
  • Loss of library card is to be reported immediately to the library staff

Working Hours (Working days, Weekends and Sundays, Late hours for hostellers.)

Working day : 9:00am to 7:00 pm

Weekend and Vacation : 9:00am to 5:00pm
