The Department of Physics has been recognized as Research Centre by VTU in the year 2010. Research Scholar Mr. Umesha Reddy awarded and another Research Scholar Mr. Niranjan has submitted his thesis for the award of Ph.D degree in the department. Mr Rohitash Kumar successfully completed his M.Tech course. At present five research scholars are pursuing their Ph.D., degree under the guidance of Dr. C. Ningappa from VTU, Belagaum. Research scholars have published their work in reputed peer reviewed National and International journals (SCOPUS journals) and presented papers in national and international conferences / seminars/symposia. More than 100 research papers have been published in reputed journals.
