VGST Sponsored 4 Day Faculty Development Programme Real Time Multicore Design Engineering in the Field of Communication
The four-day VGST sponsored FDP started on 21 st March 2018 with an Inauguration ceremony. The Chief Guest Mr. Soundarakumar M, Director, Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), Telecom Technology Centre of Govt. of India, Bengaluru delivered the Inaugural address. Dr. Rajalakshmi Menon K, Scientist H, Radar – VI Division, LRDE, DRDO Complex Bengaluru was the Keynote Speaker for the day. Mr. M S Nagarajan, Founder CEO, ABA Technology Services Pvt. Ltd, Guest of Honour joined us all the way from Chennai. Mr. Kaveesh Gowda V, Secretary, VVET ® , Mysuru delivered the presidential address. Dr. M Ravishankar, Principal, VVIET and Dr. Bindu A Thomas, HOD, Department of ECE accompanied the Guests. The Inauguration ceremony was organized in the Auditorium at VVIET campus where 50 participants of FDP (40 external and 10 internal), Students of the Department, HODs of various Departments were present in the event. Later in the afternoon Dr. Halappa R Gajera, Dept. of Electronics, PG Center, UoM, Hassan joined us to deliver technical talk in seminar hall. On 22 nd March, we had Mr. Bachu Yesobu, Scientist, MCF, Hassan and Dr. Mrinal Sarvagya, Professor, REVA University, Bengaluru as resource person. Mr. P Pramodh Kumar, Project Engineer, Altair Engineering India Ltd., Bengaluru along with Ms. Shannon Misley were here this afternoon for demonstration of antenna designs. On 23 rd March, an Industrial trip was organized to ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Bengaluru. On 24 th March, we had resource persons Dr. Dr. Narayan Panigrahi, Scientist, Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Bengaluru, Ms. Sumi A Samad, Scientist – F, Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Kochi and Dr. K R Yogesh Prasad, Scientist/Engineer “SG”, ISRO, Bengaluru. The FDP ended with a valedictory to thank all the tributors for successful completion of the event. Guests congratulated the participants by distributing the certificates.
