• Dr. Bindu A Thomas, Prof & Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was honored by inner wheel Rotary North on occasion of Teachers day program.
• Dr. Bindu A Thomas has participated in IEEE international Women in Engineering (WIE) Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering 2019 (IEEE WIECON-ECE 2019) in collaboration with IEEE Bangladesh Section and WIE AG Bangladesh Section.
• Dr. Bindu A Thomas, Prof & Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was a Chief Guest for the “IETE National Level Student Technical Paper & Model Contest".
• Dr. Bindu A Thomas, Prof & Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering , has published a paper titled “Applying cuckoo search based algorithm and hybrid based neural classifier for breast cancer detection using ultrasound images” in springer journal.
• Dr. Suma, Professor, Department of ECE and Mr.Amulya Mohapatra, Director, skill development were invitees for Coffee Meet Up and interaction with Startups on 30th November 2019

• Dr.Suma and Mr.Amulya Mohapatra along with few students of the department were participants in Bengaluru Tech Summit. An India’s Flagship event which brings together top technology experts featurist, policy maker’s ,research heads and industry captains from all over the globe to indulge in invigorating sessions.
• Prof. Narayanaswamy presented a research topic on “Development and Simulation of Tibia Bone Model For Analysis of Tibia Stress Fracture” held at IISC ,Bangalore.

• Dr. Bindu A Thomas was awarded as the best Small Student Branch counselor for the year 2018, by IEEE Bangalore Section.
• Dr. Bindu A Thomas, Prof & Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, VVIET has been elected to the grade of “Senior Member” in recognition of Professional standing the officers and Board of Directors of the IEEE
• Dr. Suma ,Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has presented a paper titled “English Handwritten Character Recognition” in International Journal for Research Trends and Innovation.
• Dr. Rajalakshmi M C, Professor Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering have worked as Technical Committee Member for “Panchajanya 2019 technical Paper Presentation” on 30th March 2019.
• Prof. Anitha D B has certified as a master trainer for PCB design by ESSCI( NSDC) .
• Prof. Anitha D B participated in IPCA EXPO – 2018, held at BIEC, Bengaluru on September 26 – 28, 2018

• Mr. Rohith M N [Assistant Professor], had been to Twenty hours hands-on training workshop on Digital Electronics and its Applications conducted at Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication engineers as a resource person.
