Inauguration of “International Society of Automation (ISA) – Student Section

Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology , Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Inaugurated “International Society of Automation (ISA) – Student Section” in Mysuru for the very first time.

The program was inaugurated by the president ISA - Mr. Rajesh Rathi [MD – Control InfoTech, USA], Past President ISA- Dr. K L S Sharma, Administrative Officer ISA - Mr. Palaniyappan S, Education Chair ISA - Mr Arun Menon (MD – Strategy Automation, Bangalore), Student Section Liaison ISA – Dr. Veena Hegde (Professor, BMS college of Engineeering, Bangalore). Principal VVIET – Dr. Ravishankar M, Director of Academics – Dr. Krishna Athre, Dean of Academics – Dr. Sriram N S, Prof. VVIET were present during inauguration.

Dr. Veena Hegde, Student section liaison, briefed about the activities being carried out from the ISA Bangalore Section & benefits to students through the various programs organized by ISA like Internships, industry visits, scholarship programs etc.

Dr. Rajesh Rathi, President, emphasized more on the control system & automation applied in various process industries and placement opportunities available for students in automation and how ISA helps / guides the student members to build their career

Dr. Ravishankar M, Principal VVIET, rendered the Presidential address and concluded with importance of present day automation. Installation of office bearers was carried out. Mr. Mahesh Kumar was elected as President and Mr. Neelesh Kumar Verma as President Elect.
